Im gonna say something really unpopular here... food for thought!
Although things in Iraq do not seem clear to most peeps.. I think I have a pretty good understanding of it. I believe my president made a good call at the time. The reason I believe this is because a third world war was possible and we had no crystal ball to see how things would pan out so my president and his cabinet made a decision to position our country in case that jumped off. How you ask?? Well the country that controls the worlds oil will be the country who has the most power and will most likely be the victor in such an event. I do not care what pretense we went in under I am glad we have control. It is a sound strategy. We could not tell the world bluntly why we were going there and thus we needed to have an excuse and that's what we used. No matter what everyone thinks of our president he made a hard call and acted upon it!! I am proud of him and would expect nothing less from our government.

Youth gangs in the US DOUBLED from 2000 to 2002.
Immigration IS the biggest cause for youth gangs. They don't speak the language. There aren't enough parents who are there for the kids. The kids seek out the father figures who speak their language and have been 'kind' to them. These kids grow up surrounded by 'gang love' and then they have kids who perpetuate the problem.

Harley Chic, I understand your anger at other countries laws, however I have always found that it is better to be the bigger person and do the right thing then to lower ones self just out of spite......as Americans we set an example for other countries to follow....Americans are dying right now in another country partly because of the way that country treats it's people....so shouldn't we try to be better then other countries????

Every employer is to record this info on Form I9... Proof of citizenship or legal work permits.. In 15 yrs of doing this NO one from the GOV. has ever requested this info..LOL.. Taxes for Fica, Med, Fed., state are witheld and paid to the agency monthly.. Employers usually are notified if the SS# and Name do not match- A letter is mailed (usually 2-yrs after the fact) to the employer.. Nothing usually comes about from this, cause mostly the Employees-Illegals are long gone and cant be found.. WEll. I cant see them fileing a tax return either.. Normally they claim 5-10 exemptions to minimize the withholdings to begin with.. THey pay taxes if employer withheld and reported them.. For most usually just Fica/medicare.. THats bout it

I see it everyday.......and these people are not taking jobs from our kids or anyone......here are a few facts:

Now go look up who makes up 90% of our prison population and where most of the gang activities originated from. Look up where most of the illegal drugs sold in this country come from, go look up the welfare systems enrollment sheets and give me the statistics on the who makes up over 60% medi-cal, dental, cash grants food stamps etc....
Now go look up the percentage of accidents by unisured motorists... tell me what nationality makes up most of these statistics cause I already know. I was an officer for the sheriff's dept for 7 yrs and i can tell you its mostly hispanics. either illegaly here or born to illegal parents.
People do not appreciate what they do not earn.. You do not see many asian, european, italian, russian, canadian, irish, dutch, east indian etc etc.. criminals in this country. Why is that you ask?? Because most of them came here legally.. Some even came by boats and lived in immigration camps for two or three years. They learned our laws and they became AMERICANS. They respect, appreciate our infastructure understanding that it is what makes our country great.
My grandmother had a saying, "Charity begins at home." If you are hurting your own to help others then it is wrong.
Our unemployment rate may not be too high but illegal workers uoset our economy and raise inflation and taxes. Most of the jobs you listed pay good. However, if you read even further into your statistics you would discover that many many of the hard working illegals do not even spend thier money in our country. They are sending it to family in Mexico and living grouped to gether in some poor property owners rental.
A fine example of charity gone bad is the Welfare System.. People ONLY appreciate what is eraned.. You teach them that its ok to break our immigration laws then why would they ever respect any others??
One more note about your false documents, Many many of the illegals in our country came here to hide for something that they had done in thier own country... America with its weak immigration laws provides a really nice hiding place. Not to mention the diseases that people bring to our country. Legal immigrants get checked by doctors before they are allowed our freedoms. It keeps disease from spreading.. etc.
I could go on and on and on and on.. but you think its all a party and we can just open our borders and sing kum bye ya or some crap. I forgive you because its your democratic conditioning from your comfy living room that affords you that attitude. When you can tell me how we are gonna pay for it all then I will listen to ya.
Just hope you dont wake up one day and that living room has turned into a soup kitchen line or a shelter line to get out of the cold.

My grandfather was almost completely deaf from the Battle of The Buldge, My father saw most of his friends come home in bodybags in Vietnam and my son in-law may have children with birth defects due to the Anthrax vacination that he was forced to take. My daughter knows enough about Intel to give her nightmares for the rest of her life and my 18 yr old son will be enlisting in June. I don't have no bleeding heart for this crap!! FREEDOM is not FREE!! We pay for it with our blood and our childrens blood. To simply allow these immigrants to come here and shit on our laws is a slap in the face to the men and women that fought for us!! I think you have missed the point.. NOONE is against immigration, Obviously our country is so great because of it. However, the other nationalities you are referring to immigrated here legally and so do many others as we speak. I thought as you do for a very long time until I really investigated this issue. Illegals do not help our country in any way shape or form. They create chaos and deficiet. By far they cost way more than produce and then they have children who are by birth legally here. Now another dillema what do we do with illegal parents who have naturalize citizens as children? We have to change the laws so that it is not profitable to be here illegally. You say they take the jobs Americans will not do? That is a falacy, they take the jobs that our children out of high school or on summer vacation need to help put them through school and teach them good work ethics. Thier cheap labor also creates an imbalance in our economy. Inflation would even out if it costs a minimum wage to pick our produce. Its a vicious circle. In NO WAY, not even ONe does having ILLEGALs working and living in our country benefit any American!! Quite the contrary!! Do your homework.

There are active organizations with one goal in mind: take back the land that Mexico lost to the US. Turn it into a Mexican extension. Kick the gringos to the curb.
Illegal? Go home, and come back in thru proper channels, learn English, earn, save and spend in the USA. Don't send it all home to Mehico.
Old diseases are becoming a real problem in our schools due to illegals and a lack of immunization. These strains are more aggressive, what with the mutations and all.
